UCREST LAUNCHED 1st IMEDIC DIGITAL CLINIC IN UNIKL CAMPUS
PETALING JAYA, 24 SEPTEMBER 2024 – UCrest Berhad (“UCrest”, ACE Market: 0005) announced today that it has launched the iMedic™ Digital Clinic in the University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) campus in Malaysia UniKL has a total population of about 28,000 staff and students. This is the first iMedic™ Digital Clinic in university campus in the Asia and the event is officially launched by Mr. Eg Kah Yee, Chairman and CEO of UCrest and Prof Ir. Dr. Azmi Bin Hassan, Deputy President of UniKL. The plan is to have at least one iMedic™ Digital Clinic in each campus, total of 12 campuses in the next few months.
UCrest has signed a Letter of Intent with UniKL for industrial-academic collaboration. In this arrangement, UCrest and UniKL will jointly develop the Centre of Excellence for digital health that includes the development workshop for digital health that encompasses Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare applications, and Internet of Things (IoT) and the setup of iMedic™ Digital Clinic on campus to put the technologies into real use. The workshop is not only for students as part of the curriculum, but also for practicing doctors in the industry. Students or doctors will be issued a certificate with Continuing Medical Education (CME) by UniKL and UCrest.
Providing the medical services online to this digital clinic are practicing doctors in the country and the world. Student leaders of the university are trained and certified to manage the digital clinic and to provide the necessary support to the patients. Students who are sick can have access to medical services in the campus without having to go to the physical clinic.
The iMedic™ Digital Clinic at UniKL is equipped with multiple sets of wireless digital medical devices such as wireless blood pressure monitors, oximeters, blood glucose meters, digital BMI machines and ECG device. Vital signs collected from these devices is uploaded automatically to the iMedic™ Cloud hospital. The AI engine will analyse the submitted data and flag out abnormalities and critical readings and automatic escalation to the respective doctors or specialists. Medication will be prescribed and sent to the patients.
One of the highlights of iMedic™ is the comprehensive and intelligent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Patient Relationship Management (PRM) capabilities that plays a significant role in empowering doctors to focus more on the treatment and care plan proactively, giving rise to better efficacy.
